Engine Excellence Guaranteed

Turbine Engine Solutions is an independently owned and operated FAR 145 FAA/EASA engine overhaul facility established in 2004. Originally, Turbine Engine Solutions specialized in the Pratt and Whitney JT8D-100 and JT8D-200 Series engines. Since that time, Turbine Engine Solutions has consistently added capabilities, such as the Pratt and Whitney Canada PT6A Series engine turbine overhaul and, most recently, the CFM International- CFM56 Series engine turbine repair and overhaul, as well as the GE CF6 Series engines.

Engine excellence in turbine repair and overhauls are what we know best. We offer work scopes that include:

We can also offer competitive engine sale/lease programs complete with a spares inventory.  Turbine Engine Solutions is fully complemented by all support shops, including: static balancing and system balancing of all rotors. Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), cleaning lines, machine shop, paint, welding and rework fuel shop.

CFM56 Support

The CFM56 is a high-bypass turbofan engine developed and produced by CFM International, a joint venture between General Electric (GE) of the United States and Safran Aircraft Engines of France. Introduced in the late 1970s, the CFM56 family of engines is widely used in commercial aviation, powering popular aircraft such as the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320 series.

The CFM56 has a high bypass ratio, meaning a large portion of the air is bypassed around the engine core, contributing to improved fuel efficiency and reduced noise levels. It meets stringent environmental standards for emissions and noise, which has been further improved in later versions.

JT8D Support

The JT8D is a jet turbine engine developed by Pratt & Whitney, first introduced in the early 1960s. Known for its durability and reliability, the JT8D became one of the most popular engines for commercial aircraft, particularly on short to medium-haul flights. It’s a low-bypass turbofan engine, providing a good balance between efficiency and thrust.

The JT8D offers thrust levels ranging from 14,000 to 17,400 pounds. Widely used on aircraft such as the Boeing 727, 737, and the Douglas DC-9. Despite being replaced by more modern and efficient engines, the JT8D remains significant for its contribution to commercial aviation and is still in use in some aircraft today.

PT6 Support

The PT6 is a family of turboprop engines developed by Pratt & Whitney Canada. Renowned for its reliability, versatility, and efficiency, the PT6 has been widely used in various aircraft types since its introduction in the 1960s. The PT6 features a free-turbine design, meaning the power turbine is mechanically independent of the compressor. This allows for a more straightforward and efficient transmission of power to the propeller.

The PT6 series covers a broad range of power outputs, typically between 500 to over 2,000 shaft horsepower (shp), accommodating different aircraft sizes and applications. The PT6 is known for its excellent performance in diverse operating conditions, including high-altitude and hot environments, making it a preferred choice for many operators worldwide.
